By normal state they have a very low resistance. By particular value passing current does come to such heat of polymer, that his originally crystallic form changes to amorphous. That cuts off carbon strings, resistance of fuse rises in several rows and does come to disconnection of circuit. After cool-off polymer reproduces his crystallic structure and fuse has again low inner resistance. Fuses of PFRX series can be used for protection of circuits with tension to 60V and with cut off current lower than 40A.
