| Protective
diodes of transil type (known as TVS or trisil) are
appropriate everywhere that overshoot and other transient
states accure from capacitive or inductive load switching,
complicate electronic devices life. They are produced in
unidirectional and bidirectional design. Unidirectional
type is used for overshoot suppression of one polarity
only. Bidirectional type is used for overshoot suppression
of both polarities. It is possible to make connection of
two unidirectional transils into serie against each other
to circuit a bidirectional transil. |
